Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 13, 2026

This policy applies to the website studiodraug.com (including studiodraug.com/araicam/) and to the mobile apps published by Studio Draug ("we", "us"). Arai Cam is described in its own section below.

Website

We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools on our website, and we do not load third-party scripts or fonts.

Like almost every web server, our web host (Misshosting) automatically records technical information about each request in server logs, such as IP address, date and time, the requested page, browser type and referring page. We do not use this information to identify you, and we do not combine it with other data. It is kept by the host for a limited time for security and operational purposes.

If you send us an E-mail, for example by using the contact form on this site, your E-mail and E-mail address are stored on our server or in our mailbox so that we can answer you. We don't share your E-mails or E-mail addresses with anybody. If you want us to delete your E-mails, use the contact form to inform us.

Our pages contain links to other sites, such as Instagram and the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

Arai Cam (iOS and Android)

Arai Cam is a black-and-white camera app. Arai Cam does not collect, store on our servers, transmit, sell or share any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no ads, no in-app tracking, no analytics and no crash-reporting service, and it does not communicate with any server run by us. We have no way of seeing your photos, filters or settings.

Camera

The app asks for permission to use your camera in order to take photos and to scan Arai Cam filter QR codes. Camera images are processed on your device only. We never receive them. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your device settings.

Photos

Photos you take with Arai Cam are saved to your device's photo library (on iOS the app asks for permission to add photos and to show the photos taken with it; on Android they are saved to the app's album in your gallery). The app uses the photo library only to save, show, share and print the photos taken with Arai Cam. Photos are processed on your device and are not uploaded anywhere by us.

Photos may include standard camera metadata such as capture time, camera model and exposure settings, and a note of which Arai Cam filter was used. Arai Cam does not request location permission and does not add location (GPS) data to your photos.

Filters, settings and QR codes

Your presets, filter settings and app preferences are stored locally on your device. Arai Cam can create a QR code that contains a filter's settings (as a web link to studiodraug.com/araicam/filter/). QR codes and the "prints" you create (a photo with a frame, title and QR code) are generated on your device. If you share a print or a filter, you choose where it goes, using your device's share function.

When someone opens a filter link on a device that doesn't have Arai Cam installed, or on a computer, they are sent to our website, where the web server logs described above apply. The filter link only contains filter settings. It does not contain your photos or personal information.

Anything you share with other apps or people (for example a photo you post on social media or send in a message) is handled by the app or service you choose and is governed by their privacy policies. Please be aware that a photo you share publicly can be seen by others, and that the QR code on a print can be scanned by anyone who sees it.

Backups

Your device's operating system may include Arai Cam's local settings in your device backup (iCloud Backup on iOS, Google backup on Android), depending on your device settings. That is handled by Apple or Google under their privacy policies, not by us. Photos in your photo library may be backed up or synced by your photo service (for example iCloud Photos or Google Photos) if you have enabled that.

Children

Arai Cam does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Because we collect no personal information, there is no personal information from children for us to store or delete.

Apple and Google

When you download or purchase apps, Apple and Google process data about you under their own terms and privacy policies, for example for the App Store and Google Play. We don't receive that personal data, only aggregated statistics (such as download counts and crash reports that you have chosen to share with developers) through the developer consoles of Apple and Google.

Our Other Mobile Apps

iOS Apps

Our other apps in the Apple App Store don't collect or store any form of private data from the user. However, our apps that include online leaderboards, such as Tiletastic, use Apple's Game Center to submit and display scores, which involves communicating with Apple's servers under your Game Center account. Apple might also collect data while using our apps more generally. More details about that can be found in the Privacy Policies by Apple.

Apple Privacy Policy

Android Apps

Our other apps on Google Play, including the "Wither" game, do not collect, store, or share any personal or non-personal information from its users and are designed to be completely self-contained. Our app Tiletastic is the exception: it includes online leaderboards via Google Play Games Services, which involves communicating with Google's servers under your Google Play Games account to submit and display scores. See Google's own Privacy Policy for details on how Play Games Services handles your data.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal information through our apps, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have contacted us by E-mail, or you believe we hold personal information about you, you can ask us to tell you what we hold, to correct it or to delete it, and, depending on where you live (for example in the EU/EEA under the GDPR, or in California), you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us at info@studiodraug.com or using the contact form below.

The controller for personal data processed on this website is Studio Draug.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy, for example if we add features that change how data is handled. The current version is always available at this address, and the date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we ever add features that collect personal data, we will update this policy before they are released.
